Character name: Korra
Fandom: Legend of Korra
Timeline: Right after episode nine, "Out of the Past." Going to be looking rather beat up due to being in a metal box and all :V
Age: 17
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: She's the Avatar! Which in-universe means she's the only individual with the ability to bend all four elements (bending just being able to control the element of earth, fire, air, or water, each with their own unique martial arts skill set to accompany it). But so far she's been only able to bend earth, fire, and water and is training to be an airbender under her master Tenzin.

She has one notable sub-skill as a waterbender, which is healing. Using water as a catalyst, she redirects energy paths (or chi) throughout the body which results in the healing of inflicted wounds and injuries.

Being the Avatar also means she's technically the human form of a planetary spirit that mediates between the human and Spirit World. Korra's the most recent incarnation, but she's got hundreds of past lives that she can technically contact! Why technically? Because as of now, Korra's spirituality isn't the greatest and she can barely catch glimpses of what her past lives are trying to warn her about. From where I'm taking her, she has yet to be able to use the Avatar State, which is where she can channel cosmic energies and knowledge from past Avatars and do even more powerful bending.

Bending and Avatar-ness aside, Korra is physically strong, being able to kick down doors and lift several people at a time out of sheer strength.

How would they use their abilities?: Korra would use her bending abilities to help people!! At least to the best of her ability and perhaps bending will help her out in certain missions who knows.

Appearance: Korra is a tall girl with an athletic build developed from years of bending and physical training. Since she's from the Water Tribe, she shares several common traits of her people; dark hair and skin and blue eyes. Korra more or less wears her tribe garb as well, boots, blue tops/fur lined jackets and long pants.

Background/Personality:

The world Korra lives in is a world where bending one of the four elements -earth, fire, air, and water- is commonplace. Most benders originate from one of the four major nations, either the Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, the Air Nomads, or the Water Tribe. There was a conflict called the Hundred Year War where the Fire Nation tried to spread its influence and territory engaging the other three nations in battle. One of the many casualties, if most infamous, was the genocide of almost all the airbenders, save one young boy named Aang, who turned out to be the Avatar, the savior and peacemaker of the world with the ability to bend all four elements.
